I tried both copying the link and pasting it into an email and also sending the link to an email address. At first, I had not unchecked the "Allow Editing" function but I eventually found the article that was listed in your reply and did indeed set the link with that box unchecked. With OneDrive, I have tried a variety of different things and I will try to summarize them here. I tested, even though I haven't had problems in the past because I recognize that things change and it had been several months since I shared anything. I discovered this issue originally because I was testing this share function before I sent it to people that are not experienced with OneDrive and do not have a OneDrive account, nor do they want one. I found a short-term workaround that allowed me to get the files shared that I needed to get shared right away and so the sense of urgency was reduced.

The same thing happens if you go into the folder and select all of the individual files to download at one time - a sign in box pops up and you can't go any further unless you sign in or deselect all but one file.Īny ideas on how to accomplish this? In the past, the entire folder would download as a zip file. This is important because the folder contains 200+ photos and they would have to do 200+ individual downloads to get all the images. Now, when I share a folder with multiple files in it, they cannot download the entire folder without signing in to Microsoft (onedrive, hotmail, etc.) They can download an individual file without signing in, but they cannot download the entire folder at one time. I used to be able to share a folder with someone that does not have a Microsoft account and the entire folder could be downloaded by that person.
